First Order: Disarmament is a Physical Constraint
The First Order plan is based on the lessons learned from the Empire, and is based on low-cost, thorough efficiency.
It is the opposite of the Empire's idea of endlessly wasting resources.
The Empire had invested huge costs in maintaining its system, so the First Order rejected the centralized system and pushed national administration onto the New Republic, achieving a significant cost reduction.
It shifted to an idea of using limited military forces and resources efficiently and effectively.
Why was this shift in thinking possible? What was the factor that enabled thorough efficiency to be achieved? Disarmament.
The remnants of the Empire signed a ceasefire agreement with the New Republic government and agreed to a major disarmament. They would no longer push for military expansion as they had done before.
In other words, the First Order would be carried out within physical constraints.
Therefore, the constraints were set by efficiency and low cost.
The doctrine was significantly rewritten, and a new Empire was devised.
The era of maintaining a wartime system by running the weapons industry at full speed came to an end.
Along with this, new technologies that promote efficiency are invented one after another.
Physical constraints pave the way for innovation.
Quality is more important than quantity. It increases personnel survival rates and increases specialization.
The arms industry produces high-quality technology rather than quantity. They sell cheap, high-quality products to the First Order. Products that can be used repeatedly and have a long lifespan.
Technologies that were neglected in the Empire are reconsidered.
Not violating disarmament is an absolute requirement for the First Order.
Increasing the level of disarmament ultimately promotes high efficiency.
The New Republic was relieved that security concerns had been eliminated by setting disarmament, but in reality it allowed the First Order to promote the efficiency of technology.
Strong constraints promote strong efficiency. This is something the Empire did not realize.
Therefore, limited resources are very valuable. Snoke severely scolded General Hux when he lost the Dreadnought.
However, he does not execute Hux. He values limited personnel as well.
