Skeleton Crew Episode 7 Impressions(Caution for spoilers)
⚪︎Jude Law's acting is amazing
Until now, I've seen him as a kind, good person who helps children, in other words, a Jedi.
When you have something you want in front of you, you show your true nature. He finally shows his true nature to a child.
His skill in making people think he's a nasty adult is amazing.
I'm done with these kids. He guided me to Atathi. I'll pretend to help him and sneak into the Mint.
(By the way, a Sith Lord's specialty is dangling something they want and asking for something. They show the other person what they want first and present the conditions.)
⚪︎Stress from holding back from using the Force
If you're Force-sensitive, you'll want to use the Force out of inertia.
In Jude Law's case, he held back from using the Force. He wanted to use the Force for his own desires. But no one told him how to control it. Because the Jedi were almost wiped out.
The same can be said for Palpatine. He had refrained for many years from using the Force in front of a senior Jedi leader (he could have strangled Yoda if he had wanted to).
He then built up anger, and exploded when Mace came to arrest him.
This caused stress, and brought on dark side headaches.
(Chairman: "I am not blessed with the luxury of the Force.")
He used the Force only as little as necessary to achieve his goal, and obtained the maximum amount of what he wanted.
And it didn't matter what the means, he only had one chance. If he missed it, it was all over.
That said, I feel like Jude Law wasn't well prepared.
